Abstract
A series of experiments is described which demonstrates the dynamical properties of electromechanical systems constrained to constant flux. The frozen field and diamagnetic behavior of a single coil are first demonstrated. Then, four deformable coils are connected together to make a lumped parameter Alfven wave. This model clarifies the basic electromechanical nature of these waves. The constant flux constraint is produced by a feedback system. Keywords
