Abstract
Considerable differences were found between hepatoma and normal liver cells in the activities of the following enzymes; arginase, glutaminase, glutamine synthetase, glutamyl transferase and glutamine-pyruvic transaminase. The enzyme levels in hepatoma cultures were 0. 3 to 7 times greater than that of newborn liver cultures. Glutaminase was greatly increased in activity in neoplastic liver cultures but showed a marked reduction of enzymatic activity in normal cell cultures. Keywords
