Abstract
The changes in the mandibular joint and periodontium of Vitamin B complex deficient rats and the course of repair in these structures were studied. B complex deficient rats show a diminution and cessation of chondro-genesis and osteogenesis in the mandibular condyle and periodontium. When these animals are refed a stock diet there is a rapid resumption of chondrogenesis and osteogenesis, a remodeling of bone, a hyperplasia of fibrous connective tissue and a repair of the cementum and dentin which is resorbed while the animals are on the deficient diet. Keywords
