Abstract
Citrus foliage infested with Aleurocanthus woglumi was used at Cuernavaca, Morelos, to determine the effectiveness of the parasite E. serius. The studies show that parasitization builds up to as high as 85% by the end of the rainy season in Oct., dropping to as low as 8-10% by May when the rainy season starts. Observations made in 4 other states of Mexico have, with one exception, confirmed the findings in Morelos, that the long periods of drought appear to be the adverse factor preventing normal increase and development of the parasite, while the blackfly infestations remain high and inhibit normal fruit production. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
