Disseminated Toxoplasmosis and Cytomegalovirus Infection Complicating Hodgkin’s Disease

Abstract
This is a report of a case of disseminated toxoplasmosis and cytomegalovirus infection in a 30-year-old man who had been treated for Hodgkin's disease. The identity of the parasite was confirmed by electron microscopic examination of tissue from the lungs which had been kept in 10% formalin for 10 months. It is believed that electron microscopic examination of formalin-fixed autopsy specimens may be of valuable assistance in identification of the parasite, especially in difficult cases.
