Abstract
(1) In rats potassium excretion was studied after application of furoemide and simultaneous oral potassium loading. (2) Considerably more potassium was excreted within 24 h than administered in normal and in adrenalectomized animals. (3) In adrenalectomized rats, maximal potassium loss did not occur during furosemide-diuresis but in the following period of relative antidiuresis.
