Abstract
The appearance of cross-linked DNA molecules during the replication of vaccinia virus DNA was investigated. Conversion of full size DNA molecules to cross-linked molecules occurs several hours after completion of DNA synthesis. Inhibition of RNA synthesis by actino-mycin D did not prevent this transition; however, interruption of protein synthesis by streptovitacin A resulted in partial inhibition of the process. Keywords
