Abstract
Stroboscopy may be produced (1) by vibrating the eyes mechanically at a rate approximately that of the observed moving objects; or (2) by vibrating a mirror in which the reflection of the moving objects is seen. Humming at the appropriate pitch gives the first effect. Either method produces the intermittent stimulation of the retina which is necessary to stroboscopy. Keywords
