BUTANOL-INSOLUBLE IODINATED COMPOUND IN THE PLASMA OF A GOITROUS CRETIN*

Abstract
The case study is presented of a goitrous cretin in whom the only circulating iodinated material was butanol-insoluble. Radiochromato-graphic studies indicated that this material was hydrolyzed during its excretion through the kidney but was not broken down while in the general circulation.
