Abstract
On the hypothesis that simple hemolysins act only at the surfaces of the cells of hemolytic systems, equations which describe the effect of varying the number of such cells are developed in this paper. The resulting expressions are in general similar to those published in 1927; in this investigation, however, their validity is tested over a much greater experimental range and for hemo-lytic systems containing saponin, sodium taurocholate, and digitonin together with the cells of the ox, the sheep, the rabbit, and man. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
