Abstract
The natural gamma radiation status in Milos, an island of volcanic origin in the Greek Cyclades Archipelagos, was determined by measuring over 150 samples of sediments and soil. The population radiation dose was also determined on the basis of an appropriate relation. From the results derived one notes that the volcanic origin of the island results in elevated specific activities of the environmental abiotic materials, and consequently, in a higher population dose rate, in comparison with other Greek regions. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
