Abstract
The effect of variation in the dosage of subcutan. injs. of benzedrine sulfate was measured in 15 white rats by the revolving activity cage method. Over a period of 24 days the rats were given, in random order, doses of 11/2 mg./ kg., 3 mg./kg., and 41/2 mg./kg., each rat receiving each amt. twice during the period. The 3 mg./kg. dose produced the greatest increase in activity above the resting activity level. Benzedrine has a greater effect on inactive rate than on the very active animals. The effect of the drug is not conditioned upon the wt. of the animal. Keywords
