Abstract
Data concerning the results of glucose tolerance tests and levels of intraocular pressure were analysed for 120 patients with primary open-angle glaucoma, many of whom had been under observation for a period of four to five years. The patients consisted of two groups: in 62 patients a disc haemorrhage had been recorded at some time during the observation period, and in 58 no haemorrhages had been seen. Patients with disc haemorrhages had a higher incidence of abnormal glucose tolerance or frank diabetes and lower intraocular pressures than those without haemorrhages. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
