Abstract
40 Ss drawn from 7 species of monkey, and Lemur catta were trained to solve bent-wire detour problems. Old World monkeys were significantly more proficient than New World monkeys or lemurs, but members of the latter two groups did not differ significantly from each other. The results are compared with those obtained with children, apes, and raccoons. Keywords
