Abstract
This article reviews the literature published during the past 10 years on studies of neuroimaging in mental retardation. These include both structural neuroimaging, such as computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, and functional neuroimaging, such as positron emission tomography and single photon emission computed tomography, on subjects with idiopathic mental retardation, fragile X syndrome, Down's syndrome and autism. Keywords
