Response Stability in Limited-Response Questioning

Abstract
Coefficients of stability were determined for thirty limited-response questions, for a four-week test-retest period, on seventeen subjects. All stabilities were significantly greater than could be expected by chance. The questions were classified into four general categories, and the mean coefficients of stability for these classes of questions ranged from .713 to .970. Theoretical implications and polling procedures were described in detail.
