Perceptual behavior as related to factors of associative and drive strength.

Abstract
Drive level was a function of S's score on Taylor Anxiety Scale: Set of the Ss and frequency characteristics of the stimulus materials were manipulated as associative variables. Set and anxiety interacted so that set facilitated the perceptual performance of the low-anxious Ss while impairing performance of high-anxious Ss. Also noted an impaired breadth of perceptual functioning associated with high levels of drive. 21 references. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)
