Abstract
Simultaneous eeg and plethysmographic recordings in normal and neurotic subjects during wakefulness and during natural and seconal-induced sleep showed that changes in alertness and level of consciousness are related to eeg and plethysmographic changes. These were observed in all subjects whether in states occurring naturally or induced by seconal. Keywords
