Abstract
The 003–000 and 0113–0110 bands of CS2 have been measured with high precision. It has been possible to derive a very precise value of the CS distance, re=1.5532±0.0005 A. The values obtained for the molecular constants were B000=0.109099±0.000023, α2=—0.000256, α3=+0.000711, all quantities expressed in cm—1. The mean measured value of q was found to be 6.6×10—5 cm—1 which can be compared to a theoretically predicted value of 7.8×10—5 cm—1.Keywords
