Abstract

The equilibrium diagram of nickel–gallium alloys has been revised to include a newly discovered Ni₃Ga superlattice which forms peritectically at 1210° C. The new work shows that there is a very close resemblance between the Ni–Al and Ni–Ga systems in the nickel-rich region.
