Abstract
The general solution of the Fokker–Planck equation near an absorbing sphere is expressed as a sum of asymptotic and transient terms employing Burnett function expansion procedure. The particle condensation rate on the surface of the black sphere is then calculated using truncated expansions. Numerical results are presented showing the convergence of the condensation rate as the order of the approximation is increased. Keywords
