Abstract
Computed tomographic (CT) findings in left-sided inferior vena cava with hemiazygos continuation are described in a patient. The anomalous vessel appears as a characteristic tubular structure to the left of the aorta, extending from the abdomen into the posterior mediastinum. This venous anomaly can mimic a mediastinal mass, and recognition by CT may obviate the need for venography and further invasive diagnostic procedures. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
