Abstract
Formation of hypernuclei from absorption at rest on light nuclear targets was studied by measuring monochromatic from the two-body decay, . The formation probabilities of from , , , , and targets were extracted to be (0.74±0.10)×, (3.0±0.4)×, (1.57±0.18)×, (1.00±0.14)×, and (0.47±0.08)× per stopped , respectively. Possible mechanisms for the production of are discussed.
