Abstract
This paper consists of two parts. In part I, in a quasi-TEM approximation, the complex charge and potential distributions are determined, and then the other characteristics of an infinite array of parallel strips are analysed. The effects of the coupling, shielding and the dielectric constant of the substrate on the characteristics of the propagated waves ore discussed. Keywords
