Abstract
A representative sample of an adult population, earlier examined by gastroscopic biopsy, was subjected to correlation and regression analyses to quantitate the influences of different factors on the development of three dyspeptic complaints. In this study a large part of the complaints were incriminated by the subjects to poor tolerance of certain foods and/or beverages. According to the results of formal analysis, the state of the corpus and antral mucosa and the presence of Helicobacter pylori play only an accompanying role in some regression models. Keywords
