Abstract
Boys with childhood autism were compared with normal boys of similar age and a decrease in urinary 3-methoxy-4-hydroxy-phenethylene glycol (MHPG) was found in the autistic group. Autistic children might have an alteration in central and peripheral noradrenergic function, which may be related to impaired regulation of attention, arousal and anxiety. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
