Abstract
Thermolysis of furazan N-oxides results in ring cleavage to nitrile oxides which may be trapped in good yield as 1,3-dipolar cycloadducts; in the absence of dipolarophiles the intermediate nitrile oxides rearrange to isocyanates.Keywords
