Abstract
By quantitative measurement edema was found to develop a little more readily in the legs of patients with varicosities than in normal individuals. This tendency was greatly increased when the valves of the communicating veins were incompetent. Studies of the saphenous blood oxygen offered no explanation of this. Possible explanations are discussed. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
