Abstract
Social class and 1st-year academic achievement of students in the preclinical program of 1 medical school were studied in relation to stress-anxiety responses and the internalization of professional attitudes. Social class was not significantly related either to stress-anxiety responses or to the internalization of professional attitudes. Academic achievement was not related either to changes in stress-anxiety responses or to changes in the internalization of professional attitudes.
