Abstract
Adrenalectomized male and female rats treated with 9[alpha]-chlorohydrocortisone in the dosage of 10 [mu]g/day remain alive and apparently healthy for an indefinite period and are able to produce and rear normal litters. Treatment with 9[alpha]-fluorohydrocortisone (50 [mu]g/day) is probably equally effective, but owing to insufficient material it necessitated cessation of treatment before term and some litters died soon after birth. Keywords
