Abstract
The superconducting transition temperature of V3Ga was degraded by quenching from high temperature and subsequently recovered by annealing at a lower temperature. The dependence of Tc on the annealing time was analysed using a model of Dew-Hughes (1980) and Welch (1983) for the kinetics of reordering in an A15 compound. From the experimental results the activation energy for Ga bulk diffusion can be calculated. The results are compared with earlier tracer diffusion measurements. Keywords
