Abstract
An optic glioma was found in a 3½-year-old boy who was diagnosed as having spasmus nutans at age 8 months. The incorrect assumption of SN was prompted by the appearance of nystagmus and head nodding. The author suggests that prompt recognition of impaired visual acuity, optic atrophy, and excessive head growth would have led to earlier correct diagnosis.
