Abstract
An accuracy investigation, initiated because of conflicting analytical data on the arsenic content for some 24 drinkinig water locations in the Mojave Desert, revealed that interference with the evolution of arsine in the American Public Health Association silver diethyldithiocarbamate method caused either color enhancement or arsine suppression. For certain types of natural waters this method is unreliable. Keywords
