Abstract
Suppose that k components are in use simultaneously, that batches of n items are ordered, and that all items in use at one time must be from the same batch. After n — k + 1 failures have occurred the remaining k — 1 items are wasted. Properties of the system are investigated and different strategies of use compared. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
