Abstract
Electrochemical characteristics of various organic hydrazine and hydroxylamine derivatives are presented. Their use as anode materials in galvanic cells is considered. The anode potential of these compounds is dependent on the type and position of substituent groups in the molecule as well as the pH of the electrolyte. The effect of the first two factors on the anode potential is interpreted in terms of the electron density distribution in the molecule.
