Abstract
10 14-15 yr olds gave similarity ratings of 20 situations on a numerical scale. A dimensionality analysis of the mean similarity matrix was performed which indicated that Ss separated stressful situations from neutral situations. 2 situational dimensions interpreted as ego threat and threat of pain were obtained for stressful situations. A categorization analysis on the similarity matrix confirmed the outcome of the dimensional analysis. (22 ref.) (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)Keywords
