Temperature Dependence of the Generalized Susceptibility of Nickel

The extension to a range of temperatures of our previous work (at ${\text{1.6\hspace{0.17em}T}}_{\mathrm{C}}$ ) on fitting the susceptibility of the free‐electron gas to the measured magnetic neutron scattering from a crystal of ⁶⁰Ni indicates that the exchange enhancement is virtually constant at about a factor of three from ${\text{1.05\hspace{0.17em}T}}_{\mathrm{C}}\hspace{0.17em}\mathrm{to}{\text{\hspace{0.17em}2.3\hspace{0.17em}T}}_{\mathrm{C}}$ .
