Abstract
A 5-year-old pure sward of Trifolium ambiguum cv. Treeline growing under fertile lowland conditions was subjected to different treatments of cutting height and frequency. Maximum herbage production of 13 250 kg/ha/year was obtained under irrigation by cutting to 1 cm every 2 months. Under dryland conditions the same treatment produced 12 100 kg/ha/year. The mean seed yield of two 1-m2 samples was 600 kg/ha. Root and rhizome yield in a 0.5-m2 sample was 12 600 kg/ha.Keywords
