Abstract
Rodents are the chief sources of infection of tularemia, and the modes of spread are being investigated. In 1935 an outbreak in Russia was found to originate in a water course. The epidemiology is described. The portal of entry of infection was the mouth. 3 forms of illness were demonstrated: anginal, typhoid and glandular-ocular. There was no correlation between morbidity and sex or age. The number of microorganisms in the water was frequently so great that isolation was comparatively simple. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
