A NOTE ON THE QUESTION OF REFLEX ACTIVATION OF DORSAL ROOT DILATORS

Abstract
Simultaneous recording of the vol. of a sympathectomized and of a completely denervated paw during reflex depressor stimula-tion revealed no differences between the reactions of the blood vessels of the 2 sides, although both increases and decreases of paw vol. were produced. The existing evidence evidently does not favor the concept of reflex activation of the dorsal root dilators.
