Abstract
To the Editor.— I wonder if I could enlist the help of your readers. Have any of them witnessed the recovery of cold urticaria after jaundice? Are there any references to this in the literature? Illustrative Case History The patient at the onset of puberty had first noticed the occurrence of wheals on the exposed skin. It was worse when there was a wind and she was thus unable to ride the motor scooter given her by her parents. During the previous summer she had become severely affected while swimming in the Gulf of Naples. Cold drinks were anathema. All parts of the body could be affected and sometimes she had headaches which she thought attributable to the same cause. On touching the skin with ice enormous wheals were quickly produced.
