Abstract
Ferrous iron determination in paddy soil has received extensive attention from soil chemists because of the important role of ferrous iron in the oxidation-reduction characteristics of paddy soils. The method of analytical determination has been directed mostly to the extraction of active ferrous iron which is one of the factors governing the reductive characters of paddy fields. For such a purpose, some analytical methods to determine active ferrous iron have already been reported by TAKA1 (14) and YAMANAKA, et al. (15)Keywords
