Abstract
An automatic torsion pendulum is described for the simultaneous measurement of internal friction and modulus as a function of temperature during linear heating. The accuracy of damping measurement is improved by using 150 amplitude values for its determination and by using the time integral over one halfwave as a measure of amplitude instead of the peak value itself. The improvements are demonstrated by some representative experimental results. Keywords
