Abstract
Hartree-Fock calculations for the n f 2 F 0 series of Ba II are reported. Several of the n f wavefunctions are found to be shared between the inner and the outer wells of the double valley potential. The resulting anomalies in intensity, spin-orbit splitting and quantum defect provide a qualitative explanation for some recent observations. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
