Abstract
A simple extrapolation technique is used to determine the normalization of the proton-deuteron tail of the wave function. With a wave function calculated using the Faddeev equations and the Reid soft-core potential we find , in fair agreement with the value estimated by Bolsterli and Hale in a modified phase-shift analysis of elastic scattering data.
