Influence of external magnetic field on the reentrant spin-glass state ofAu0.832Fe0.168alloy

Abstract
Fe57 Mössbauer-effect studies of the reentrant spin-glass (RSG) state of Au0.832 Fe0.168 have been performed in the temperature range 4.2≤T≤80 K in external magnetic fields Bex up to 3 T. A detailed analysis of the Mössbauer spectra within the framework of the so-called canting model for the RSG state is presented. Neither a change of the reentrance temperature Tf nor of the canting angle is observed. This result is compared with a mean-field-theory prediction on Tf(Bex) and experimental data in other RSG systems.
