Abstract
A new sampler that has been successfully used in jet aircraft for collection of atmospheric carbon dioxide at altitudes up to 50 000 ft is described. The sampler uses type 4A molecular sieve to absorb the CO2 and will quantitatively absorb the CO2 from air flowing through the sampler at rates up to 500 liters/min. Ten liters of CO2, which is sufficient for accurate C14 measurements, can thus be obtained in one hour. Keywords
