Abstract
In a series of 151 autopsies on cases of malignant disease, 12 (7.9 per cent) were found to have involvement of the diaphragm as compared with 5 (3.4 per cent) which had metastases in the spleen. Secondary deposits from the bronchus and stomach were rarely seen in comparison with those from more distant organs and the surgical importance of this finding is discussed.
