Abstract
Natural disturbance suppression and anthropogenic perturbations have altered the composition and structure of the New Jersey Pinelands National Reserve (NJPNR). The combination of satellite remote sensing imagery and GIS provided the means to map and monitor land cover change at landscape level scales in the NJPNR. The Pinelands has experienced a change in landcover, with the mixed deciduous forest replacing the pine forest community. Keywords
