Abstract
Four steady-state network applications are described: state estimation, security analysis, power flow, and optimal power flow. Unlike other energy management system (EMS) applications, they depend on power system network models. They may execute in EMS real-time and study environments, and also operator training simulators. The intent is to provide guide to current network application practice and implementation. Keywords
